The "zellamseeXpress" lift runs to Viehhofen, a neighboring village of Saalbach. From there, a ski bus takes you in just five minutes to the next lift, providing access to the Saalbach Skicircus—all with a single ski pass.
• The Ski Alpin Card unites three premium ski regions:

The Schmittenhöhe (2,000 m)—Zell am See’s local mountain, boasting a skiing tradition spanning nearly a century—offers an ideal ski area for families and sun-seekers, featuring spectacular mountain panoramas set between glaciers and Lake Zell. It is not without reason that it is known as "Austria’s most beautiful panoramic mountain"; in both summer and winter, visitors can admire 30 peaks exceeding 3,000 meters in the Hohe Tauern range, including Austria’s highest mountain, the Grossglockner (3,950 m). The Schmittenhöhe guarantees snow reliability across 77 kilometers of slopes equipped with artificial snowmaking capabilities, all served by 28 cable cars and lifts. Since the 2019/20 season, the "zellamseeXpress" cable car has connected the Schmitten area with the Glemm Valley.

The ski area of ​​Saalbach-Hinterglemm—host of the World Championships—has long been considered one of the most exciting and largest in the entire Alpine region; here, even the most demanding skiers can enjoy a true winter dream! A highlight for skiers is the all-day circuit tour through the Skicircus—one of the longest of its kind in the entire Alpine region, boasting 72 kilometers of slopes and a vertical drop of 12,500 meters. The Skicircus is also renowned for its authentic ski huts, catering to every taste—from rustic to gourmet.

The Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area guarantees snow from October to May, featuring 41 kilometers of slopes, 17 modern lifts, an off-piste paradise for freeriders, snowparks, the legendary Ice Camp, and ski touring routes. It also offers the "Top of Salzburg" viewing platform with breathtaking vistas, as well as Salzburg's highest restaurant, situated at an altitude of 3,029 meters.

Maiskogel is the ideal ski area for winter sports enthusiasts who appreciate gentle terrain, leisurely carving, and close proximity to the town and hotels. Professional ski schools, a rental shop, and a spacious ski depot right at the valley station ensure maximum convenience. Meanwhile, fun and action are guaranteed with a ride on the "Maisiflitzer" Alpine Coaster or a visit to the Phantasie Park.

Just under an hour’s drive from Zell am See lies the family-friendly high-altitude ski area "Weißsee Gletscherwelt" (1,480–2,600 m), renowned for its excellent slope quality and reliable snow conditions well into late spring. As a ski destination, Weißsee Gletscherwelt guarantees a relaxing and enjoyable experience for everyone—from downhill skiers and snowboarders to ski tourers and freeriders. Those wishing to explore the pristine nature of Hohe Tauern National Park away from the groomed runs will discover a true ski-touring paradise here; short ascents combined with long descents through deep powder and spring snow are sure to delight every ski enthusiast and mountain hiker.

The Berghotel Rudolfshütte is situated right in the heart of Weißsee Gletscherwelt at an altitude of 2,315 m, meaning the fun on the slopes begins right on the doorstep. Guests can look forward to a cozy restaurant with a rustic alpine atmosphere, a lounge with a fireplace and climbing wall, a hotel bar, and a range of double and multi-bed rooms. Whether ascending at a leisurely pace or speeding downhill, you feel truly connected to yourself with every breath. Ski touring in Zell am See (Salzburg region) becomes a genuine adventure thanks to fantastic views and diverse routes. The Kitzsteinhorn offers two designated routes for ski tourers: the new "Schneekönigin" (474 ​​vertical meters) and "Eisbrecher" (900 vertical meters) trails start at Langwiedboden and lead to the Alpincenter and the top station of the Maurerlift (at 2,875 m), respectively. The extreme altitude provides an excellent training effect—something particularly appreciated by ambitious endurance athletes.

Under the guidance of certified mountain guides, a tour up the Tristkogel reveals an almost magical world of snow and ice. Spanning an elevation gain of around 660 meters and taking 3.5 hours of hiking time, the route allows you to breathe in the silence and gather strength with every step. For beginners, the tour up the Ronachkopf is highly recommended (it is also suitable for snowshoers). This beautiful, accessible route delights hikers with panoramic views of the Schmittenhöhe, the Hohe Tauern mountains, and Zell am See.
