Ski touring is an amazing experience in Zell am See in Salzburger Land with fantastic views routes that are rich in variety. There are 2 new marked routes on the Kitzsteinhorn, the “Schneekönigin" (474 vertical metres) and “Eisbrecher" (900 vertical metres) taking you from Langwiedboden to the Alpincenter and the top station of the Maurerlift respectively, at 2875 m above sea level. The extremely high altitude means that those who like athletic stamina sports especially appreciate the excellent training effect it offers.

A tour up the Tristkogel under the guidance of a state qualified mountain guide opens up an almost magical world of snow and ice. In 3.5 hours you cover about 660 vertical metres, breathing in the tranquillity, and re-energising with every step. For beginners, the Ronachkopf tour is recommended (suitable for snowshoe walkers too). This beautiful, and not very difficult route has enchanting panoramic views of the Schmittenhöhe, the Hohen Tauern mountains and Zell am See. You can enjoy local delicacies and hot drinks in the Enzianhütte.
